Lightning System Inspections

As the Communications Engineer for Atlanta Gas Light Company, the design, installation and maintenance of radio towers and building was part of Glenn Welch's corporate responsibilities. Lightning protection systems are a critical part of any radio communication system and large radio towers were located/installed statewide. These lightning protection systems were frequently struck by lightning and protection systems were critical for emergency communications.

Glenn Welch graduated from the Lightning Protection Institute in Chicago, Illinois in 1980. Lightning protection system inspections have been included in many commercial or stand alone system inspections like dairy barns and tank farms.
